During the design of this scarf, we were inspired by the essence of what it means to be Dominican. We wanted to capture the authenticity of our culture on a canvas, which is why we decided to include the map of our beloved island in a unique and special way.
Merengue, our traditional dance, was also a source of inspiration for this design. The doll on the scarf has a flair that recalls the skirts that move to the beat of a good merengue, capturing the joy and rhythm of our music.
To represent our sovereignty and democracy, we incorporated the Puerta de la Misericordia on the dress of the faceless doll, along with the vibrant colors of our beautiful flag. Additionally, we inscribed the powerful message "I am a true-blooded Dominican", reaffirming our pride and love for our homeland.
